June Pfaff Daley

I grew up in a small town in northwest Pennsylvania. I knew from a very young age that art was where it was at for me. I fondly recall cutting, pasting, drawing and coloring for hours on end at the enormous, walnut desk that my parents bought for me at auction. From that point on, I never questioned what I’d do when I grew up. I later earned a B.F.A. in Visual Communication Design with a concentration in illustration and a minor in marketing from the University of Dayton. Go Flyers! For several years after graduating from college, I worked as a graphic designer at a forms company and then at a publishing company-jobs that taught me business sense and design basics including a solid computer foundation. When my first child was born over a decade ago, I took the plunge and went solo as a freelance designer/artist. There’s not much that my business, Daley design, hasn’t taken on over the years; everything from design and layout for print publications to mural painting on very high ladders. I’m inspired by classic children’s stories, nursery rhymes, fictional characters, travel, yard sales, shopping and even baking. I have an innate desire to make things. My quirky sense of humor heavily favors all things whimsical. I currently reside in Cincinnati, Ohio with my three fantastic kids, one supportive husband, a charming cat and a darling dog .
