Bonnie Heppe Fisher
“Watercolor has been my favorite medium since high school, when I used to drive out to farms and paint in the car on weekends. I try to express my appreciation for God’s creations and love for the world in my work. It has been both a privilege and fun to work with Legacy Publishing Group and to have their encouragement in new projects.”
Bonnie has been a freelance illustrator and watercolor artist for over twenty-five years. She graduated from the Moore College of Art in Philadelphia, majoring in Illustration and minoring in Fine Art. While studying to earn her B.F.A., she learned traditional watercolor techniques from Ranulph Bye, which she still uses today. Bonnie has exhibited in a number of galleries, has had several art shows, and won prizes for her watercolors.
She finds great happiness in her home, and is able to do some of her most creative painting while also indulging in her favorite hobbies of bird watching, gardening and caring for her many pets. She attributes her unique insight to an awareness of the beauty of the world God has created around us. Bonnie says that one of her favorite Bible verses is, “O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.” (Psalm 104:24 KJV) ©Bonnie Heppe Fisher
