Karen Graham
Karen has been attracted to creating and experimenting with art mediums from a very early age. Her Mom encouraged her by decorating nearly every square inch of the kitchen wall with her art and when her Dad passed on his old 35mm camera to her as a teen, an intrigue with photography began to emerge.
As an adult Karen maintained a successful office career, and when her two sons started school her passion for art was once again sparked as she became involved in helping to teach art in their classrooms and making greeting cards as gifts.
When a neighbor requested Karen's photo cards to sell in her gift shop, she finally decided to respond to the encouragement of family and friends and turn her daydream of creating full time into a reality. In the fall of 2006, Karen “sailed away from the safe harbor” and introduced into the marketplace a small collection of greeting cards featuring photographic vignettes from her everyday life. Since then, she has not looked back. Karen's studio is in a seaside community just outside of Vancouver, BC where she lives with her husband and two sons. Her love of travel and exploring nature are echoed in her varied designs.
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sail. Explore. Dream. Discover.” Mark Twain
